Ishfaq Ahmad (Fellow of IEEE) is a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering and Director of the Center for Advanced Computing Systems at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), which he joined in 2002. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and M.S. in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University, New York, U.S.A., in 1992 and 1987, respectively; his B.S. in Electrical Engineering is from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan, in 1985. He has authored nearly 300 publications, including books and peer-reviewed research papers on supercomputing systems, parallel optimization algorithms, digital video compression, assistive technologies, and sustainable computing. Dr. Ahmad has received numerous international research awards and about $15 million in research funding. He has delivered more than 150 talks, including several keynote speeches. While being a professor, he has held additional positions: a senior visiting scientist at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, China; a visiting lecturer at NASA’s Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas; a frequent senior visiting scientist at the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory in Rome, New York. From 2000 to 2001 Dr. Goldenberg was also the President of Virtek Engineering Science Inc. (VESI), a high-technology company formed after the acquisition of part of ESI by Virtek Vision International Ltd., a publicly listed company. Dr. Goldenberg is also President of Anviv Mechatronics Inc. (AMI), which he founded in 2006. Anviv is a high-technology company involved in the development of mechatronics products. In 2021 Dr. Goldenberg established two companies active in AI-Embedded Robotics: TNL AI-Embedded Robotics Inc. and ESIRAI Inc. In May 2015 ESI was acquired by a Chinese consortium located in Shenzhen, P.R. China. He was the President of ESI after the acquisition until the Chinese consortium became a public company listed in Hong Kong. Dr. Goldenberg has been the Chief Technology Officer of the public company until May 12, 2019, when he left the public company. Dr. Goldenberg is also the founder of the field of Robotics at University of Toronto where he has been from 1982 as a Professor of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, cross appointed in the Institute of Biomaterials & Biomedical Engineering, and previously cross-appointed in the Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is as of 2011 a Professor Emeritus. Dr. Goldenberg is also an Adjunct Professor at Ryerson University and a Guest Professor at Nanjing University of Science and Technology, P.R. China.

Prof. Dr. Constantin Voloşencu graduated as an engineer from Politehnica University Timișoara, Romania, where he also obtained a doctorate degree. He is currently a full professor in the Department of Automation and Applied Informatics at the same university. Professor Voloşencu is the author of 10 books, 7 book chapters, and more than 170 papers published in journals and conference proceedings. He has also edited thirteen books and has twenty-seven patents to his name. He is a manager of research grants, editor-in-chief and member of international journal editorial boards, a former plenary speaker, a member of scientific committees, and chair at international conferences. Prof. Volosencu is a science ambassador of LiveDNA and a member of the Asian Council of Science Editors ACSE. Jiaxin Cai received his Ph.D. degree in Information and Computation Science from Sun Yat-Sen University in 2014. He also received his M.S. degree and B.Sc. degree in Bio-medical Engineering from Southern Medical University in 2011 and 2008 respectively. Currently, he is an associate professor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at Xiamen University of Technology. He has authored over 37 peer-reviewed papers at academic journals and conferences. His current research interests include machine learning, computer vision and bio-medical engineering.

He is a professor at the University of Costa Rica. At the University of Costa Rica, he earned his bachelor's and licentiate degrees in Pure Mathematics, and at the Costa Rica Institute of Technology, he graduated with a Master's in Computer Science.
